Kevin R. Teal, MD

Kevin R. Teal, M.D. grew up in Dallas, Texas, graduated from St. Mark’s School of Texas and went on to complete his B.A. in Psychology at Princeton. In 1991, he graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.
Dr. Teal completed his internship and residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas from 1991 to 1997, serving as Chief Resident during that time with specialties in cerebrovascular and spinal surgery.
From 1997 to 2001, Dr. Teal served as a staff neurosurgeon at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.
In 2001 he moved to Arlington to join the staff of Arlington Neurosurgical and Spine Associates. Dr. Teal is very active in the community offering information about neurosurgery through discussions and lectures.
He attained board certification by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in November 2000 and is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, amoung other medical organizations.
Dr. Teal is an ordained Baptist Minister and is involved in prison ministry.

Additionally Dr. Teal thanks his family for their support, “My supportive wife Yvonne makes my hectic schedule possible. My children Gabriel and Carissa help me focus on what’s important in other areas of life,” he says.
Dr. Teal started his own practice in September 2003, Immanuel Brian, Spine and Nerve Surgery P.A.
